Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2005 Saturn Ion 3, 2005 Saturn Ion 2, and 2005 Saturn Ion 1. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
    IMPORTANT: Make sure the interconnect and seal are lined up before module installation.
  1. Install the ignition control module in the ignition coil housing.
  2. NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the ICM retaining screws.

    Tighten:  Tighten the retaining screws to 1.5 N.m (13 lb in).

  5. Connect the ICM harness connector.
  6. Install the accelerator cable bracket.
  7. NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  8. Install the accelerator cable bracket bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the retaining screws to 10 N.m (18 lb in).

  9. Install the accelerator cable to the bracket.
