Installation Procedure

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  1. Position the wheel speed sensor bracket into the steering knuckle and install the fastener. Tighten:  Tighten the wheel speed sensor bracket-to-steering knuckle to 8 N.m (71 lb in).
  2. Install the wheel speed sensor into the bracket. Tighten:  Tighten the wheel speed sensor bracket-to-steering sensor bracket to 8 N.m (71 lb in).
  3. Connect the wheel speed sensor electrical connector.
  4. NOTE: Before installing wheels, remove rust or corrosion from wheel mounting surfaces and brake rotors/drums. Failure to do so can cause wheel nuts to loosen in service.
  5. Install the wheel and the tire assemblies onto the hub. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
