Installation Procedure

    IMPORTANT: The assembly force can be up to 130 N (29 lb) of force.
  1. Install the pump motor adapter to the EBCM.

    Press the adapter (1) into the guide (2).

    2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  2. Install the new EBCM to the hydraulic modulator.

    Tighten:  Tighten the hydraulic modulator to 5.5 N.m (45 lb in).

    • Push the EBCM on to the hydraulic modulator carefully without tilting it.
    • Install the 2 new bolts.
  3. Remove the retaining link from the hydraulic modulator.
    • Remove the 2 sealing plugs from the hydraulic modulator.
    • Remove the retaining link.
    • Install the 2 sealing plugs into the hydraulic modulator.
  4. Install the hydraulic modulator with the EBCM. Refer to Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Replacement .
  5. For programming procedures, refer to Control Module References .
