Body Control Module Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (LAT) ()Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (LZ4/LY7) ().
2. Remove the right console trim panel. Refer to Front Floor Console Side Trim Panel Replacement - Right Side (Service and Repair).
3. Remove the body control module (BCM) screws.
4. Remove the BCM wire harness connectors.




5. Remove the BCM.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the BCM.
2. Install the BCM wire harness connectors.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice).

3. Install the BCM screws.

Tighten the screws to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in).

4. Install the right console trim panel. Refer to Front Floor Console Side Trim Panel Replacement - Right Side (Service and Repair).
5. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (LAT) ()Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (LZ4/LY7) ().
6. For a new or remanufactured BCM, setup the BCM. Refer to Control Module References (Programming and Relearning).
