DTC P0705: Transmission Range Sensor Circuit Malfunction (PRNDL Input): Procedure
- READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Data List / All Data.
- According to the display on the Techstream, read the Data List.

- Inspect the transmission control switch. Refer to INSPECTION - Step 3 .

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ECM - BODY GROUND)
- Disconnect the ECM connector.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

- Disconnect the park/neutral position switch.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

- INSPECT PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH ASSEMBLY
- Inspect the park/neutral position switch assembly. Refer to INSPECTION - Step 1 .

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ECM - PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH)
- Disconnect the ECM connector.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ECM - PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH)
- Disconnect the ECM connector.
- Disconnect the park/neutral position switch connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition B30-47 (NSW) - B14-4 (B) Always Below 1 Ω B30-47 (NSW) or B14-4 (B) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

- REPLACE TRANSMISSION CONTROL SWITCH (SHIFT LOCK CONTROL UNIT ASSEMBLY). Refer to REMOVAL
- REPLACE ECM. Refer to REMOVAL
- REPLACE PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH ASSEMBLY. Refer to REMOVAL
- CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS. Refer to CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS
- REPLACE ECM. Refer to REMOVAL
