DTC P0715: Input / Turbine Speed Sensor Circuit Malfunction; DTC P0717: Input Speed Sensor Circuit No Signal: Procedure
- INSPECT SPEED SENSOR NT INSTALLATION
- Make sure that the connector is properly connected, and then check the speed sensor installation.
OK
The installation bolts are tightened properly and there is no clearance between the sensor and transaxle case.
NG → See step 6
OK: Go to next step
- Make sure that the connector is properly connected, and then check the speed sensor installation.
- INSPECT TRANSMISSION WIRE
- Disconnect the speed sensor connector.
- Remove the TCM.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

OK: Go to next step
- REPLACE SPEED SENSOR NT (SPEED SENSOR)
- Replace the speed sensor. Refer to REMOVAL .
NEXT: Go to next step
- CHECK IF DTC OUTPUT RECURS (DTC P0715 OR P0717)
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / ECT / Trouble Codes / Clear.
HINT:
Write down the currently output DTCs before clearing them.
- Perform the monitor drive pattern. Refer to MONITOR DRIVE PATTERN .
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / ECT / Trouble Codes.
- Read the DTCs using the Techstream.RESULT
