DTC P0365: Camshaft Position Sensor "B" Circuit (Bank 1); DTC P0367: Camshaft Position Sensor "B" Circuit Low Input (Bank 1); DTC P0368: Camshaft Position Sensor "B" Circuit High Input (Bank 1): Procedure
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SENSOR POWER SOURCE)
- Disconnect the camshaft position sensor for exhaust side connector.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage
Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition B23-3 (VC2) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 4.5 to 5.0 V TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION*a Front view of wire harness connector
(to Camshaft Position Sensor for Exhaust Side)
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR FOR EXHAUST SIDE - ECM)
- Disconnect the camshaft position sensor for exhaust side connector.
- Disconnect the ECM connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition B23-1 (VVE+) - B30-75 (EV1+) Always Below 1 Ω B23-2 (VVE-) - B30-121 (EV1-) Always Below 1 Ω B23-1 (VVE+) or B30-75 (EV1+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher B23-2 (VVE-) or B30-121 (EV1-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK SENSOR INSTALLATION (CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR FOR EXHAUST SIDE)
- Check the camshaft position sensor for exhaust side installation.

Sensor is installed correctly.
NG → See step 7
OK: Go to next step
- Check the camshaft position sensor for exhaust side installation.
- INSPECT NO. 2 CAMSHAFT (TEETH)
- Check the teeth of the No. 2 camshaft.
OK
Teeth do not have any cracks or deformation.
NG → See step 8
OK: Go to next step
- Check the teeth of the No. 2 camshaft.
- REPLACE CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR (FOR EXHAUST SIDE)
- Replace the camshaft position sensor for exhaust side. Refer to REMOVAL .
NEXT: Go to next step
- CHECK WHETHER DTC OUTPUT RECURS
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Clear the DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
- Start the engine and idle it for 10 seconds or more.
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Trouble Codes / Pending.
- Read the DTCs.RESULT
Result Proceed to No DTC is output A P0365, P0367 or P0368 is output B HINT:
If the engine does not start, replace the ECM.

- REPLACE NO. 2 CAMSHAFT. Refer to REMOVAL
- REPLACE ECM. Refer to REMOVAL
