DTC P0607: Control Module Performance: Procedure
- CHECK FOR ANY OTHER DTCS OUTPUT
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Trouble Codes.
- Read DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [05/2013 - ]

Result Proceed to P0607 and P0136, P0137 or P0138 are output A P0607 is output B

- INSPECT DTC (P0136, P0137 OR P0138)
- Refer to the P0136, P0137 or P0138 flowchart.
HINT:
- If P0136 is output, troubleshoot for that DTC first. Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 . Then proceed to "Inspect ECM".
- If P0137 is output, troubleshoot for that DTC first. Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 . Then proceed to "Inspect ECM".
- If P0138 is output, troubleshoot for that DTC first. Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 . Then proceed to "Inspect ECM".
- If DTC P0607 and P0136, P0137 or P0138 are output, the output voltage of the heated oxygen sensor may remain close to 0 V or become high (around 1 V or higher).

- CHECK FOR EXHAUST GAS LEAK
- Allow the engine to idle, and then rev the engine.
- Check for exhaust gas leaks around the heated oxygen sensor.
If any exhaust gas leaks are present, repair them and proceed to "Perform Confirmation Driving Pattern". If no exhaust gas leaks are present, proceed to "Perform Confirmation Driving Pattern".
HINT:
- If no exhaust gas leaks are present, there may be a malfunction in the heated oxygen sensor circuit.
- If any exhaust gas leaks are present around the heated oxygen sensor, noise appears in the output voltage of the heated oxygen sensor.

- PERFORM CONFIRMATION DRIVING PATTERN
- Clear the DTC. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [05/2013 - ] .
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Start the engine.
- Warm up the engine until the engine coolant temperature is 75°C (167°F) or higher.
- Perform the driving pattern.WARNING:
When performing the confirmation driving pattern, obey all speed limits and traffic laws.
- Accelerate the vehicle to 80 km/h (50 mph) and stop the vehicle.
- Drive the vehicle between 60 and 80 km/h (37 and 50 mph) for 5 minutes.
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Trouble Codes.
- Read DTCs.RESULT
Result Proceed to P0136, P0137, P0138 and/or P0607 are output A Only P0607 is output B No DTC is output C

HINT:

- If P0137 is output, troubleshoot for that DTC first. Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 . Then proceed to "Inspect ECM".
- If P0138 is output, troubleshoot for that DTC first. Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 . Then proceed to "Inspect ECM".
- If DTC P0607 and P0136, P0137 or P0138 are output, the output voltage of the heated oxygen sensor may remain close to 0 V or become high (around 1 V or higher).

- INSPECT ECM
- Clear the DTC. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [05/2013 - ] .
- Turn the ignition switch off.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON and turn the Techstream on.
- Stop the engine and wait for 30 minutes.
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Start the engine and allow it to idle for 2 minutes.
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Trouble Codes.
- Read DTCs.RESULT
Result Proceed to DTC is not output A P0607 is output B
