Code 54

  1. Inspect brake light operation. Repair as needed. See WIRING DIAGRAM at the end of this article. Ensure ignition is off. Disconnect ABS control unit harness connector. See Figure . Connect voltmeter between control unit harness connector terminals No. 10 and 25. See Figure .
  2. Voltage should at least 4 volts or greater when brake pedal is depressed. If voltage is within specification, replace ABS control unit. If voltage is not within specification, inspect and repair circuit as needed. See WIRING DIAGRAM at the end of this article.
