Throttle Position (TP) Sensor

TP sensor consists of a potentiometer and an idle switch. Throttle position sensor sends ECM a signal corresponding to throttle valve position. Idle switch signal occurs when throttle is near idle position. ECM uses these signals to control air/fuel ratio during acceleration, deceleration, and idling.
