DTC P1143 (PS_RLOW): Pressure Sensor Circuit Range/Performance Problem (Low Input)

  1. Turn ignition to off. Connect SSM. Turn ignition and scan tool on. Start engine. Select SSM function mode F20 to read signal value from pressure sensor. If sensor value is less than 32 kPa, check vacuum hoses between pressure sensor, pressure sources switching valve, intake manifold and CPC solenoid valve. Repair as needed. Go tostep 2). If sensor value is not less than 32 kPa, check actual atmospheric pressure and compare to function mode F20 reading. If readings differ by more than 10 kPa, replace pressure sensor. If readings are within 10 kPa, circuit is normal. Check connectors for poor contacts.
  2. Turn ignition off. Connect test mode connectors located under instrument panel. Turn ignition on. If pressure sources switching solenoid valve clicks on and off every 1.5 seconds, replace pressure sensor. If pressure sources switching solenoid valve does not click on and off, replace pressure sources switching solenoid valve.
