Front Knuckle/Hub

CAUTION: If bearing is faulty, replace it as the bearing set. Be sure to replace oil seal at every overhaul.

Check the removed parts for wear and damage. See Fig 1. If defective, replace with new ones.

  1. Inspect the rattle of bearing, give the tires a shake with grasping both the upper and lower sides of the tire. See Fig 2. And also inspect to rotate the wheel smoothly.
  2. Inspect the lean of axis direction using a dial gauge. See Fig 3. Replace the hub bearing if the load range exceed the limit of .002" (.05 mm)
    CAUTION: If bearing is faulty, replace it as the bearing set. Be sure to replace oil seal at every overhaul.
  3. Inspect the removed parts for wear and damage. See Fig 4. If defective, replace with new ones.
