For detailed operation procedure, refer to the SUBARU SELECT MONITOR OPERATION MANUAL. For select monitor display details, refer to the following:
- Engine Load: Displayed 0-100% - ECM calculates engine load via engine speed and signals from pressure sensor. Engine load increases when engine speed and absolute pressure of intake manifold increase.
- Coolant Temperature: Displayed -40-419°F (-40-215°C) - Coolant temperature transmitted from engine coolant temperature sensor is displayed.
- ATF Correction No. 1, No. 2 & No. 3: Displayed -100-99% - Using signal from front oxygen Air Fuel (A/F) sensor, correction value of fuel supply amount regulated by ECM is indicated. When A/F is lean and when displayed value becomes zero percent or more, ECM increases fuel. When A/F is rich and when displayed value becomes zero or less, ECM decreases fuel.
- A/F Learning No. 1, No. 2 & No. 3: Displayed -100-99.2% - ECM calculates long-term fuel trim value from short-term fuel trim value. Long-term fuel trim value means the correction value of long-term fuel supply amount. If displayed value is less than zero percent, fuel system is in rich status and ECM restricts fuel supply (by shortening injector pulse). If displayed value is more than zero percent, fuel system is in lean status and ECM increases fuel supply (by extending injector pulse).
- Manifold Absolute Pressure: Displayed 0-254.9 kPa (0-75.3 inHg) - Pressure in intake manifold is displayed. ECM detects pressure in intake tube via signal from pressure sensor. ECM calculates air mass required for engine.
