DTC P1443: Vent Control Solenoid Valve Function Problem

TROUBLE SYMPTOM:

Improper fuel supply

CAUTION: After repair or replacement of faulty parts, conduct Clear Memory Mode < Ref. to , OPERATION , Clear Memory Mode. > and Inspection Mode < Ref. to , PROCEDURE , Inspection Mode. >.

DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE DTC P1443

Step	Check	Yes	No
1 CHECK ANY OTHER DTC ON DISPLAY.	Is any other DTC displayed?	Inspect the relevant DTC using "List of Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC)". < Ref. to , LIST OF DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) . >	Go to step 2 .
2 CHECK VENT LINE HOSES. Check the following items. Clogging of vent hoses between canister and drain valve Clogging of vent hose between drain valve and air filter Clogging of drain filter	Is there a fault in vent line?	Repair or replace faulty parts.	Go to step 3 .
3 CHECK DRAIN VALVE OPERATION. Turn ignition switch to OFF. Connect the test mode connector at the lower portion of instrument panel (on the driver's side). Turn ignition switch to ON. Operate the drain valve. NOTE: Drain valve operation can also be executed using Subaru Select Monitor. For the procedure, refer to "Compulsory Valve Operation Check Mode". < Ref. to , COMPULSORY VALVE OPERATION CHECK MODE . >	Does the drain valve operate?	Contact SOA Service Center. NOTE: Inspection by DTM is required, because probable cause is deterioration of multiple parts.	Replace the drain valve. < Ref. to DRAIN VALVE . >
