DTC P0182 Fuel Temperature Sensor "A" Circuit Low Input: Wiring Diagram

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE CHART

Step Check Yes No
1 CHECK CURRENT DATA. 
  1. Start the engine.
  2. Read the data of the fuel temperature sensor signal using the Subaru Select Monitor or general scan tool.
    NOTE:
    • Subaru Select Monitor

      For detailed operation procedures, refer to "READ CURRENT DATA FOR ENGINE". <Ref. to SUBARU SELECT MONITOR . >

    • General scan tool

      For detailed operation procedure, refer to the general scan tool operation manual .

Is the temperature 150°C (302°F) or more? Go to step 2.  Even if the malfunction indicator light illuminates, the circuit has returned to a normal condition at this time.
2 CHECK CURRENT DATA. 
  1. Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
  2. Remove the access hole lid.
  3. Disconnect the connector from fuel pump.
  4. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
  5. Read data of the fuel temperature sensor signal using the Subaru Select Monitor or general scan tool.
    NOTE:
    • Subaru Select Monitor

    • General scan tool

      For detailed operation procedure, refer to the general scan tool operation manual .

Is the temperature less than -40°C (-40°F)? Replace the fuel temperature sensor. <Ref. FUEL TEMPERATURE SENSOR Fuel Temperature Sensor. > Repair ground short circuit of harness between fuel pump and ECM connector.
