1 CHECK CURRENT DATA.
- Start the engine.
- Read the data of the fuel temperature sensor signal using the Subaru Select Monitor or general scan tool.
NOTE:

Is the temperature 150°C (302°F) or more? |
Go to step 2. |
Even if the malfunction indicator light illuminates, the circuit has returned to a normal condition at this time. |
2 CHECK CURRENT DATA.
- Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
- Remove the access hole lid.
- Disconnect the connector from fuel pump.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Read data of the fuel temperature sensor signal using the Subaru Select Monitor or general scan tool.

Is the temperature less than -40°C (-40°F)? |
Replace the fuel temperature sensor. <Ref.
