Front Differential Assembly: Installation

- Install the differential side retainers using ST.
ST 18658AA020 WRENCH COMPL RETAINER
- Install the bearing outer race to the transmission case.
- Install the front differential assembly.NOTE: Be careful not to fold the sealing lip of oil seal.
- Install the main shaft assembly for single-range. Refer to Main Shaft Assembly for Single-Range .
- Install the drive pinion shaft assembly. Refer to Drive Pinion Shaft Assembly .
- Install the transmission case. Refer to Transmission Case .
- Install the transfer case together with the extension case assembly. Refer to Transfer Case and Extension Case Assembly .
- Install the manual transmission assembly to the vehicle. Refer to Manual Transmission Assembly .
