SERVICE INFORMATION
The purpose of this tool is to protect the new power steering seal during installation. The tool consists of a gray plastic sleeve wrapped around a solid steel shaft. The actual seal protector is the gray plastic sleeve - not the steel shaft. The sole purpose of the steel shaft is to serve as a support structure for the plastic sleeve while it is in storage. Remove the steel shaft from the sleeve prior to using the tool. Always store the tool with the steel shaft in place to prevent damage. Refer to the illustration below for further details.
