Inspection steps
CAUTION:
- Some functions of the entry & start system (entry function) use the LIN communication system and the CAN communication system. Inspect the communication function by referring to "How to troubleshoot" (Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING ). Confirm that the communication system is functioning properly before proceeding to repair the entry & start system (entry function).
- Before replacing the collation ECM (smart key ECM assembly), refer to "ENTRY & START SYSTEM (ENTRY FUNCTION) ". (Refer to )
- Using the SSM3, execute [System Operation Check Mode] (wireless buzzer).
- Connect the SSM3 to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Turn on the SSM3.
- Enter the following menu items: [Integ. unit mode] →[Work Support] →[System Operation Check Mode].
- Based on the information displayed by the SSM3, execute [System Operation Check Mode].

NG: Go to Step 2.
OK: Replacement of the collation ECM (smart key computer assembly)
- Inspect the wireless door lock buzzer unit.
- Remove the wireless door lock buzzer. (Refer to WIRELESS DOOR LOCK BUZZER )
- Inspect the wireless door lock buzzer unit.
NG: Replace the wireless door lock buzzer.
OK: Go to next step
- Check the harnesses and connectors (main body ECM - wireless door lock buzzer and chassis ground).
- Disconnect the A63 wireless door lock buzzer connector.
- Disconnect the A73 main body ECM (multiplex network body ECM) connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the following table.
