Inspection steps
- Reading values with SSM3 (answer-back function)
- Connect the SSM3 to the DLC3.
- Turn the engine switch (IG) to ON.
- Turn on the SSM3.
- Enter the following menus: [Integ. unit mode] →[Unit customizing]
- Referring to the TABLE below, perform settings.CONTROLLER ECM DISPLAY REFERENCE

- Inspecting wireless door lock control function
- Inspect the wireless door lock control functions using the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly.

Result Go to The wireless door lock/unlock functions operate properly. (With wireless door lock buzzer answerback function) A The wireless door lock/unlock functions operate properly. (Without wireless door lock buzzer answer-back function) B The wireless door lock/unlock functions do not operate properly. C B: Go to Step 10.

- Inspect the wireless door lock control functions using the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly.
- Reading values with SSM3 (door unlock detection switch)
- Connect the SSM3 to the DLC3.
- Turn the engine switch (IG) to ON.
- Turn on the SSM3.
- Enter the following menu items: [Integ. unit mode] →[Current Data Display & Save].
- Based on the display contents of SSM3, read the current data display & save.
Main body

- Checking wireless answer-back operation
- Check the answer-back operation using the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly.
Result
Result Go to Only wireless door lock buzzer answer-back does not occur. A Only hazard warning light answer-back does not occur. B B: Go to Step 10.

- Check the answer-back operation using the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly.
- Executing system operation check mode with SSM3 (wireless door lock buzzer)
- Connect the SSM3 to the DLC3.
- Turn the engine switch (IG) to ON.
- Turn on the SSM3.
- Enter the following menu items: [Integ. unit mode] →[Work Support] →[System Operation Check Mode].
- Based on the display contents of SSM3, read the current data display & save.

- Inspecting wiring harness and connector (wireless door lock buzzer - main body ECM (multiplex network))
- Disconnect the wireless door lock buzzer connector A63 and main body ECM (multiplex network body computer) connector A73.
- Measure the resistance according to the following table.

OK: Go to next step
- Inspect the meter panel junction block assembly.
- Remove the instrument panel junction block assembly.

- Remove the instrument panel junction block assembly.
- Replacing wireless door lock buzzer
- Temporarily replace the wireless door lock buzzer with a new one.
Next
- Temporarily replace the wireless door lock buzzer with a new one.
- Checking wireless door lock buzzer operation
- Check the wireless answer-back function operation.
Criteria: The wireless answer-back function operates properly.
NG: Replacement of the main body ECM (multiplex network body ECM)
OK: END (Wireless door lock buzzer is faulty)
- Check the wireless answer-back function operation.
- Hazard warning light operation
- Check that the hazard warning light blinks when the hazard warning switch is pressed.
Criteria: Hazard warning light signal is normal
NG: To Lighting system (proceed to hazard warning switch circuit)
OK: Replacement of the main body ECM (multiplex network body ECM)
- Check that the hazard warning light blinks when the hazard warning switch is pressed.
