Current Data Display & Save/System Operation Check Mode

  1. Read data list
    CAUTION: The values indicated under the normal conditions in the table below are informative values. Do not depend on reference value only when judging if the part is faulty.
    NOTE: By reading [Current Data Display & Save] on SSM3, you can check the values and status of switches, sensors, actuators and other items without removing any parts. This inspection is very useful because it allows an operator to read any intermittent conditions or signals without disturbing parts or wiring. By reading the current data display & save information at an initial phase of troubleshooting, you can save time for diagnosis.
    1. Connect the SSM3 to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the engine switch (IG) to ON.
    3. Turn on the SSM3.
    4. Enter the following menus: [Integ. unit mode] →[Current Data Display & Save] or [Keyless access system] →[Collation ECM] →[Current Data Display & Save].
    5. Based on the display contents of SSM3, read the current data display & save.

  2. Perform system operation check mode
    NOTE: By performing active tests with SSM3, you can operate relays, VSV, actuators and other devices without removing any parts. This functional inspection method is very useful because it helps check state-related signals and identify the faulty part without removing any parts and wiring. By performing active tests at an initial phase of troubleshooting, you can save time for diagnosis. The current data display & save information can be displayed during system operation check mode.
    1. Connect the SSM3 to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the engine switch (IG) to ON.
    3. Turn on the SSM3.
    4. Enter the following menu items: [Integ. unit mode] →[Work Support] →[System Operation Check Mode].
    5. Based on the SSM3 display contents, perform active tests.
