DTC Check/Clear

CAUTION: If the SSM3 is connected to the vehicle with the engine switch off, the information stored in entry and start system related ECUs (the certification ECU and main body ECU) cannot be read. However, entry and start system DTCs and [Current Data Display & Save] information can be confirmed even if the engine switch is off using the method below:
  1. Check DTC (Power Source Control)
    1. Connect the SSM3 to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the SSM3 on.
    4. Enter the following menus: [Keyless access system] →[Power Supply ECM] →[Diagnostic Code(s) Display]
    5. Check for DTCs.
      NOTE: Refer to the SSM3 operator's manual for further details.
  2. Check DTC (entry And Start)
    1. Connect the SSM3 to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the SSM3 on.
    4. Enter the following menus: [Keyless access system] →[Collation ECM] →[Diagnostic Code(s) Display]
    5. Check for DTCs.
      NOTE: Refer to the SSM3 operator's manual for further details.
  3. Check DTC (engine And ECT)
    1. Connect the SSM3 to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the SSM3 on.
    4. Enter the following menus: [Engine Control System] →[Diagnostic Code(s) Display]
    5. Check for DTCs.
      NOTE: Refer to the SSM3 operator's manual for further details.
  4. Clear DTC (Power Source Control)
    1. Connect the SSM3 to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the SSM3 on.
    4. Enter the following menus: [Keyless access system] →[Power Supply ECM] →[Clear Memory]
    5. Clear the DTCs by following the directions on the SSM3 display.
      NOTE: Refer to the SSM3 operator's manual for further details.
  5. Clear DTC (Entry And Start)
    1. Connect the SSM3 to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the SSM3 on.
    4. Enter the following menus: [Keyless access system] →[Collation ECM] →[Clear Memory]
    5. Clear the DTCs by following the directions on the SSM3 display.
      NOTE: Refer to the SSM3 operator's manual for further details.
  6. Clear DTC (Engine And ECT)
    1. Connect the SSM3 to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the SSM3 on.
    4. Enter the following menus: [Engine Control System] →[Clear Memory]
    5. Clear the DTCs by following the directions on the SSM3 display.
