Fuel Pressure Sensor: Installation

Replace the following parts with new ones. Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO)>Fuel Injector>REPLACEMENT .
- Fuel injector seal
- Slider washer
- Backup
- ring
- O-ring seal
- Stopper ring
Install the fuel injector holder to the fuel injector assembly.

Align the protrusion of the fuel injector holder to the anti-rotation slot of the fuel injector pipe RH, and install the fuel injector to the fuel injector pipe RH.
CAUTION:
- Always use a new fuel injector pipe RH.
- Check the inside of the fuel injector insertion hole of the fuel injector pipe for foreign materials or damage.
- Be careful not to allow gasoline to contact with the fuel injector seal and the inside of the mounting hole.
- Insert a fuel injector into the fuel injector pipe straight in, not at a slant.
- Make sure there is no gap between the fuel injector pipe and the fuel injector holder.
- When replacing the fuel injector assembly, select the assembly with the same flow rate stratification number.

Install the fuel injector pipe RH and fuel injector as a single unit to the cylinder head.
Tightening torque:

19 N.m (1.9 kgf-m, 14.0 ft-lb)

Temporarily tighten the fuel pressure sensor to the fuel injector pipe RH until it cannot be turned by hand.
CAUTION: Always use a new fuel pressure sensor.
Tighten the fuel pressure sensor.
CAUTION:
- Be careful not to spill oil on the screw sections of the fuel pressure sensor and the fuel injector pipe RH.
- Be careful not to let foreign matter enter into the fuel pressure sensor during installation.
- The sensor should be installed perpendicularly to the fuel pressure sensor's threaded hole of the fuel injector pipe RH, and tightened to the specified torque.
- Do not recheck the tightening torque after tightening the fuel pressure sensor with specified torque.
Tightening torque:

46 N.m (4.7 kgf-m, 33.9 ft-lb)

Connect connector (A) to the fuel injector, and connect connector (B) to the fuel pressure sensor.

Install the high-pressure fuel delivery pipe assembly. Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO)>High Pressure Fuel Delivery Pipe>INSTALLATION>HIGH-PRESSURE FUEL DELIVERY PIPE ASSEMBLY .
Connect the battery ground terminal. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
