DTC C1411: Electrical Control Module
DTC detecting condition:
Judge as malfunction when ECM internal malfunction is detected.
Trouble symptom:
- ABS does not operate sometimes.
- EBD does not operate sometimes.
- VDC does not operate.
- Hill start assist does not operate.
- EyeSight does not operate. (Models with EyeSight)
Wiring diagram:
Vehicle dynamics control system Refer to WIRING SYSTEM (IMPREZA MODEL)>VEHICLE DYNAMICS CONTROL SYSTEM . Refer to WIRING SYSTEM (CROSSTREK MODEL (EXCEPT FOR HEV))>VEHICLE DYNAMICS CONTROL SYSTEM .
- CHECK VDC CONTOL MODULE & H/U GROUND CIRCUIT (CHECK FOR OPEN CIRCUIT).
- Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
- Disconnect the connector from the VDC Contol Module & H/U.
- Measure the resistance between VDC Contol Module & H/U and chassis ground.
Connector & terminal
(B310) No. 13 - Chassis ground:
Is the resistance less than 10 Ω?
Yes: Go to 2.
No: Repair the VDC Contol Module & H/U ground harness.
- CHECK POOR CONTACT OF CONNECTORS.
Is there poor contact of the connector between the battery, ignition switch and VDC Contol Module & H/U?
Yes: Repair the connector.
No: Go to 3.
- CHECK CAUSE OF SIGNAL NOISE.
Are the radio wave devices and electronic components installed correctly?
Yes: Go to 4.
No: Install the radio wave devices and electronic components properly.
- CHECK CAUSE OF SIGNAL NOISE.
Is there a noise source (such as an antenna) installed near the sensor harness and VDC Contol Module?
Yes: Install the noise sources apart from sensor harness and VDC Contol Module.
No: Go to 5.
- CHECK VDC CONTOL MODULE & H/U.
- Connect all connectors.
- Using the Subaru Select Monitor, perform the clear memory. Refer to COMMON (DIAG)>CLEAR MEMORY .
- Execute the inspection mode. Refer to BRAKE CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>INSPECTION MODE .
- Read the DTC using Subaru Select Monitor. Refer to BRAKE CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .
Is the same DTC displayed?
Yes: Replace the VDC Contol Module & H/U. Refer to VEHICLE DYNAMICS CONTROL (VDC)>VDC CONTROL MODULE AND HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT (VDCCM & H/U) .
No: Go to 6.
- CHECK DETECTION OF OTHER DTCS FOR VDC.
Read the DTC using Subaru Select Monitor. Refer to BRAKE CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .
Is any other DTC displayed?
Yes: Perform the diagnosis according to DTC. Refer to BRAKE CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC)>LIST .
No: Currently, it is normal. There may have been a temporary poor contact in the harness and connector or a temporary noise interference.
