DTC P24D6: EVAP System Pressure Sensor/Switch "B" Circuit Range/Performance: Notes
1. -
DTC detecting condition:
Detected when two consecutive driving cycles with fault occur.
NOTE:
After the faulty parts are repaired or replaced, perform the final check in Basic Diagnostic Procedure. Refer to ENGINE (DIAGNOSTICS) (H4DOTC)>Basic Diagnostic Procedure>PROCEDURE
.
- CHECK DTC
.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Using the Subaru Select Monitor or a general scan tool, read the DTC of [Engine]. Refer to COMMON (DIAG)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .
Is DTC other than P24D6 displayed? (Current malfunction)
Yes : Check the appropriate DTC using the "Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC)". Refer to ENGINE (DIAGNOSTICS) (H4DOTC)>Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC)>LIST .
No : Go to 2.
- CHECK DATA MONITOR
.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON (engine OFF).
- Using the Subaru Select Monitor, read the values of [Evap System Vapor Pressure] and [Purge Line Pressure] to compare with actual atmospheric pressure.
NOTE: For detailed operation procedures, refer to "Common (Diagnostics)". Refer to COMMON (DIAG)>DATA MONITOR .Is the difference with the actual atmospheric pressure 4.8 [kPa] (36 mmHg, 1.4 inH g) or more?
Yes : Replace the part that showed larger deviation from the actual atmospheric pressure than the other.
- If deviations in value for [Evap System Vapor Pressure] is larger: Replace the leak check valve assembly. Refer to EMISSION CONTROL (AUX. EMISSION CONTROL DEVICES) (H4DOTC)>LEAK CHECK VALVE ASSEMBLY .
- If deviations in value for [Purge Line Pressure] is larger: Replace the CPC pressure sensor. Refer to EMISSION CONTROL (AUX. EMISSION CONTROL DEVICES) (H4DOTC)>CPC PRESSURE SENSOR .
No : Even if DTC is detected, the circuit has returned to a normal condition at this time. Reproduce the failure, and then perform the diagnosis again.
NOTE: In this case, temporary poor contact of connector, temporary open or short circuit of harness may be the cause.
