Diagnostic Method

For the diagnostic procedure and judgment values, refer to the following.

• Intake side target error: Refer to DTC P0011: "A" CAMSHAFT POSITION - TIMING OVER-ADVANCED OR SYSTEM PERFORMANCE BANK 1 .
• Exhaust side target error: Refer to DTC P0014: "B" CAMSHAFT POSITION - TIMING OVER-ADVANCED OR SYSTEM PERFORMANCE BANK 1 .
• Intake side slow response: Refer to DTC P000A: "A" CAMSHAFT POSITION SLOW RESPONSE BANK 1
• Exhaust side slow response: Refer to DTC P000B: "B" CAMSHAFT POSITION SLOW RESPONSE BANK 1 .

Time needed for diagnosis: 

• Intake side: 25 sec.
• Exhaust side: 25 sec.

Malfunction indicator light illumination:  Does not illuminate even when malfunction occurs.
