DTC B2781: Steering Lock Control Module Control Circuit
DTC detecting condition:
When any of the following conditions is established.
- When the sensor for steering lock position (in steering lock control module) is faulty.
- When the steering lock motor driver (in steering lock control module) is short-circuited.
- When the steering lock motor driver (in steering lock control module) is open-circuited.
Trouble symptom:
- The steering lock cannot be released.
- Engine will not start.
CAUTION:
- For replacement procedure of steering lock control module, refer to the "REGISTRATION MANUAL FOR IMMOBILIZER" provided as a separate volume.
- Before performing diagnosis, refer to "CAUTION" in "General Description". Ref. to KEYLESS ACCESS WITH PUSH BUTTON START (DIAGNOSTICS)>General Description> CAUTION .
NOTE:
When all ECMs connected to collation system LIN bus cannot communicate with the keyless access control module, DTC B2785 is output. Ref. to KEYLESS ACCESS WITH PUSH BUTTON START (DIAGNOSTICS)>Diagnostic Procedure with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC)> DTC B2785 LIN COMMUNICATION .
- CHECK DTC

- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Read the DTC of [Keyless Access with Push Button Start] using the Subaru Select Monitor. Ref. to KEYLESS ACCESS WITH PUSH BUTTON START (DIAGNOSTICS)>Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) .
Is DTC B2785 displayed? (Current malfunction)
Yes : Perform the diagnosis of DTC B2785. Ref. to KEYLESS ACCESS WITH PUSH BUTTON START (DIAGNOSTICS)>Diagnostic Procedure with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC)>DTC B2785 LIN COMMUNICATION .
No : Replace the steering lock control module. Ref. to SECURITY AND LOCKS>STEERING LOCK CONTROL MODULE .
