DTC P100A: AVCS System Stuck: Notes
DTC detecting condition:
Immediately at fault recognition
Trouble symptom:
- Engine stall
- Improper idling
- Poor acceleration
- CHECK DTC

- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Using the Subaru Select Monitor or a general scan tool, read the DTC of [Engine]. Ref. to COMMON (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .
Is DTC P000A, P000B, P000C, P000D, P0011, P0014, P0021 or P0024 displayed? (Current code)
Yes: Check the appropriate DTC using the "Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC)". Ref. to ENGINE (DIAGNOSTICS) (H4DOTC)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC)>LIST .
No: Go to 2.
- CHECK DTC

- Start the engine and warm up fully until the engine oil temperature reaches 80°C (176°F) or more.
- Perform the inspection mode T. Ref. to ENGINE (DIAGNOSTICS) (H4DOTC)>INSPECTION MODE

Is DTC P100A displayed? (Current code)
Yes: Go to 4.
No: Go to 3.

No: End.

- Exhaust side LH: [Ex VVT Retard Target Angle L], [Exh. VVT Retard Ang. L]

- Use of the data storage function of Subaru Select Monitor allows the data during driving to be stored. The stored data can be checked after the driving.
Compare the VVT Advance Target Angle Amount (Ex VVT Retard Target Angle) value and the VVT Adv. Ang. Amount (Exh. VVT Retard Angle) value. Are there any banks that have a difference of 10 degrees or more for 3 seconds or more?
Yes: Perform the diagnosis for the bank that does not synchronize.
