Fuel Delivery and Evaporation Lines: Installation: Notes

  1. Install the fuel sub delivery tube.
    1. Set the fuel sub delivery tube to the fuel tank.
      NOTE: Check the fuel sub delivery tube to make sure it's not twisted.

    2. Install the fuel sub level sensor. Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO)>FUEL SUB LEVEL SENSOR>INSTALLATION .
    3. Install the fuel pump assembly. Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO)>FUEL PUMP ASSEMBLY>INSTALLATION .
  2. Install the fuel pipe assembly to the vehicle.

  3. Install the cable assembly hand brake LH bracket.

    Tightening torque: 

    18 N.m (1.8 kgf-m, 13.3 ft-lb)

  4. Install the fuel pipe bracket front and the fuel pipe bracket rear.

    Tightening torque: 

    18 N.m (1.8 kgf-m, 13.3 ft-lb)

  5. Connect the brake pipe and brake hose.

    Brake pipe: 

    Ref. to BRAKE>BRAKE PIPE>INSTALLATION .

    Brake hose: 

    Ref. to BRAKE>BRAKE HOSE>INSTALLATION .

  6. Install the under cover rear LH. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>FLOOR UNDER PROTECTOR>INSTALLATION .
  7. Install the leak check valve assembly. Ref. to EMISSION CONTROL (AUX. EMISSION CONTROL DEVICES) (H4DO)>LEAK CHECK VALVE ASSEMBLY>INSTALLATION .
  8. Connect the purge tube to the fuel pipe assembly. Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO)>FUEL DELIVERY AND EVAPORATION LINES>INSTALLATION>QUICK CONNECTOR CONNECTION (TYPE E) .

  9. Connect individual hoses to the fuel tank. Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO)>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>COMPONENT>FUEL TANK 1 .
  10. Install the fuel tank. Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO)>FUEL TANK>INSTALLATION .
  11. Install the pipe clamp to the fuel pipe assembly, and install the pipe protector.

    Tightening torque: 

    18 N.m (1.8 kgf-m, 13.3 ft-lb)

  12. Install the ATF cooler (with warmer feature). (AT model) Ref. to AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION>ATF COOLER (WITH WARMER FUNCTION)>INSTALLATION .
  13. Install the sub frame front LWR C COMPL LH. Ref. to FRONT SUSPENSION>SUB FRAME>INSTALLATION .
  14. Lower the vehicle.
  15. Install the fuel delivery tube clamp.

  16. Install the fuel delivery tube clamp (D).
  17. Connect the fuel delivery tube (port injection side) (C) and fuel delivery tube (cylinder direct injection side) (B). Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO)>FUEL DELIVERY AND EVAPORATION LINES>INSTALLATION>QUICK CONNECTOR CONNECTION (TYPE A) .
  18. Connect the evaporation hose (A).

  19. Install the fuel protector (B) and install the fuel delivery tube clamp (A).

    Tightening torque: 

    7.5 N.m (0.8 kgf-m, 5.5 ft-lb)

  20. Install the fuel filler cap, and close the fuel filler lid.
  21. Connect the ground terminal to battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
