Port Injection Side: LH

CAUTION:
  • Be careful not to spill fuel.
  • Catch the fuel from the pipes using a container or cloth.
  1. Release the fuel pressure. Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO)>FUEL>PROCEDURE>RELEASING OF FUEL PRESSURE .
  2. Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
  3. Remove the fuel pipe protector LH No. 1. Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO)>FUEL PIPE PROTECTOR>REMOVAL>FUEL PIPE PROTECTOR LH>FUEL PIPE PROTECTOR LH NO. 1 .
  4. Disconnect the evaporation hose (A).
  5. Open the claw on the fuel delivery tube clamp.

  6. Disconnect the fuel delivery tube (cylinder direct injection side) (A). Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO)>FUEL DELIVERY AND EVAPORATION LINES>REMOVAL>QUICK CONNECTOR DISCONNECTION (TYPE A) .
  7. Disconnect the fuel delivery tube (port injection side) (B). Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO)>FUEL DELIVERY AND EVAPORATION LINES>REMOVAL>QUICK CONNECTOR DISCONNECTION (TYPE A) .
  8. Disconnect the fuel delivery pipe assembly (C). Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO)>FUEL DELIVERY AND EVAPORATION LINES>REMOVAL>QUICK CONNECTOR DISCONNECTION (TYPE C) .
  9. Remove the fuel delivery pipe assembly.

  10. Disconnect the connectors (A) from fuel injector.
  11. Disconnect the connector (B) from high-pressure fuel pump.

  12. Disconnect the fuel delivery pipe (A). Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO)>FUEL DELIVERY AND EVAPORATION LINES>REMOVAL>QUICK CONNECTOR DISCONNECTION (TYPE B) .
  13. Remove the fuel pipe LH together with the fuel injector.

  14. Remove the fuel injector.
    CAUTION:
    • If the tip of the fuel injector is hit or the fuel injector is dropped, replace the fuel injector with a new part.
    • When the fuel injector is reinstalled again without replacing it, identify it with a tag etc. marked with the cylinder number.

  15. Remove the O-ring (A), rubber (B) and seal ring (C).

  16. Remove the pulsation damper.
    NOTE: Perform this procedure only when required.
