Intake Manifold Assembly: Installation

Set a new gasket and install the intake manifold assembly.
CAUTION:
- Install the intake manifold assembly so that it is not damaged by adjacent parts.
- Be careful not to let the engine wiring harness be caught by the parts.
Tightening torque:

25 N.m (2.5 kgf-m, 18.4 ft-lb)

Install the A/C compressor. Ref. to AIR CONDITIONER>COMPRESSOR>INSTALLATION .
Connect the connector (B) to the high-pressure fuel pump.
Connect the connectors (A) to the fuel injector (port injection side) LH.

Install the fuel delivery pipe assembly.
Tightening torque:

9 N.m (0.9 kgf-m, 6.6 ft-lb)
Connect the fuel delivery pipe assembly (C). Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO)>FUEL DELIVERY AND EVAPORATION LINES>INSTALLATION>QUICK CONNECTOR CONNECTION (TYPE C) .
Connect the fuel delivery tube (port injection side) (B). Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO)>FUEL DELIVERY AND EVAPORATION LINES>INSTALLATION>QUICK CONNECTOR CONNECTION (TYPE A) .
Connect the fuel delivery tube (cylinder direct injection side) (A). Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO)>FUEL DELIVERY AND EVAPORATION LINES>INSTALLATION>QUICK CONNECTOR CONNECTION (TYPE A) .

Secure the fuel delivery tube with the claw on the fuel delivery tube clamp.
Connect the evaporation hose (A).

Hold the engine wiring harness with a new clip.
NOTE:
- Install the clip while aligning the alignment mark of the engine wiring harness.
- Install the clip so that the band exposed length (a) is as shown in the figure.

Connect the connector to the purge control solenoid valve.

Install the fuel pipe protector LH No. 1. Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO)>FUEL PIPE PROTECTOR>INSTALLATION>FUEL PIPE PROTECTOR LH>FUEL PIPE PROTECTOR LH NO. 1 .
Secure the brake vacuum pipe with the bolts.
Tightening torque:

7.5 N.m (0.8 kgf-m, 5.5 ft-lb)

Secure the battery cable assembly with the clip.
Secure the engine wiring harness to the engine rear hanger.

Connect the connector (A) to the fuel injector (port injection side) RH and secure it with the clip.

When the engine coolant remains before removing the intake manifold assembly
1. Install the throttle body. Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO)>THROTTLE BODY>INSTALLATION .
When the engine coolant has been drained before removing the intake manifold assembly
1. Connect the connector (A) to the throttle body and connect the preheater hoses (B).

Connect the connector (A) to the manifold absolute pressure sensor and secure it with the clip.

Install the PCV hose No. 1. Ref. to EMISSION CONTROL (AUX. EMISSION CONTROL DEVICES) (H4DO)>PCV HOSE>INSTALLATION>PCV HOSE NO. 1 .
Install the air intake boot. Ref. to INTAKE (INDUCTION) (H4DO)>AIR INTAKE BOOT>INSTALLATION .
Connect the ground terminal to battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
Install the fuel filler cap, and close the fuel filler lid.
Check refrigerant leaks. Ref. to AIR CONDITIONER>REFRIGERANT LEAK CHECK>INSPECTION .
