Fuel Insulator: Installation

CAUTION:
  • If substantial amount of fuel or parts cleaner come into contact with the fuel pipe insulator, replace it with a new part.
  • If only small amount of fuel comes into contact with the fuel pipe insulator, wait for the fuel to evaporate before installing it.
  1. Install the fuel pipe insulator No. 3.
  2. Install the fuel pipe protector LH No. 2. Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO)>FUEL PIPE PROTECTOR>INSTALLATION>FUEL PIPE PROTECTOR LH>FUEL PIPE PROTECTOR LH NO. 2 .
  3. Install the fuel pipe insulator No. 2.
  4. Install the engine wiring harness with the bolt and clip.

    Tightening torque: 

    19 N.m (1.9 kgf-m, 14.0 ft-lb)

  5. Install the fuel pipe insulator No. 1.
  6. Install the intake manifold assembly. Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO)>INTAKE MANIFOLD ASSEMBLY>INSTALLATION .
  7. Install the air intake boot. Ref. to INTAKE (INDUCTION) (H4DO)>AIR INTAKE BOOT>INSTALLATION .
  8. Connect the ground terminal to battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
