Air Valve

  1. Remove air valve cap with engine stopped when engine is cold (engine cooling water temperature 140°F (60°C) or lower) and check visually that air valve is open.
  2. Reinstall air valve cap and warm up engine to its normal operating temperature (engine cooling water temperature is 158°F (70°C) or higher).
  3. Remove air valve cap again with engine stopped and check visually that air valve is closed.
