Engine Start Signal
This signal is sent from starter circuit to ECM terminal B11 (TBI). On MFI, signal is sent to ECM terminal A2.
On TBI, ECM uses signal to determine whether engine is cranking, to control fuel injection timing, injection time, Idle Air Control (IAC) valve operation, throttle opener vacuum switching valve operation and mixture heater operation (A/T).
On MFI, ECM uses this signal to determine whether engine is cranking and to control fuel injector(s) and fuel pump relay.
