1996 Sidekick With 4-Speed A/T & X90

  1. Apply parking brake. Disconnect electrical connector at shift switch, located on side of transmission. SeeFigure .
  2. Note terminal identification on shift switch. SeeFig 1 . Using ohmmeter, check for continuity between specified terminals with shift lever in specified positions. See SHIFT SWITCH SPECIFICATIONS  . If proper continuity does not exist, adjust or replace shift switch as necessary.
