DTC P1500: No Input Or Constant Input From Starter Signal Circuit: Condition

DTC is set when Powertrain Control Module (PCM) detects low voltage at starter circuit when cranking engine, or high voltage after engine is started. This is a continuous monitor. MIL is illuminated when PCM detects malfunction during 2 consecutive drive cycles. Possible causes are:

• Open circuit between ignition switch and PCM.
• PCM malfunction.
