Diagnosis & Repair Procedure
- Perform DTC CONFIRMATION TEST . If DTCs P0327 or P0328 is set, go to next step. If DTCs P0327 and P0328 are not set, problem is intermittent. System is okay at this time. See TROUBLE SHOOTING - NO CODES article.
- Start engine. Backprobing, measure voltage between ground and PCM 26-pin connector C51-3 terminal No. 3 (Black wire). If reading is not .90-3.98 volts, go to next step. If reading is .90-3.98 volts, problem is intermittent. System is okay at this time. See TROUBLE SHOOTING - NO CODES article. If intermittent problem is not found, replace PCM and go to DTC CONFIRMATION TEST .
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect KS connector. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between ground and KS harness connector Black wire terminal. If reading is 4-5 volts, replace KS and go to DTC CONFIRMATION TEST . If reading is not 4-5 volts, check for open or short to ground in Black wire between KS and PCM 26-pin connector C51-3 terminal No. 3. See WIRING DIAGRAMS article. If wire is okay, check for poor terminal contact at PCM 26-pin connector C51-3. If poor terminal contact is found, repair as necessary and go to DTC CONFIRMATION TEST . If terminal contact is okay, replace PCM and go to DTC CONFIRMATION TEST .
