Steering Column Control Module: Service and Repair

Speed Sensitive Power Steering (SSPS) Control Module

Removal
1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
2. Remove the luggage compartment wheel house trim panel.





3. Release the SSPS control module securing bolts and remove the module by sliding upwards.





4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the SSPS control module.

Installation





1. Connect the electrical connector to the SSPS control module.
2. Install the SSPS control module with bolts.
Tighten: Tighten the SSPS control module securing bolts to 9 Nm (80 inch lbs.).





3. Install the luggage compartment wheel house trim panel.
