CONDITION

This past September Suzuki released this bulletin and informed you of a new Pass-Thru reprogramming software that was required to be downloaded. Now we are revising this bulletin to inform you that another new software version must be downloaded, (new version number 1.8.3.0) to replace the previous software (old version 1.8.0.2). Software version 1.8.3.0 must be downloaded and installed prior to downloading and installing the database version 2.006.0728 and any future database versions, unless notified of a change. Also included with this version is an automatic firmware update for your SDS tool.

CAUSE

The SDS interface box may have an outdated firmware version.

CORRECTION

Follow the below procedure to check the pass-thru software version information in your PC. If you do not have the latest version please download and install the software and database from Suzuki Pitstop. This new reprogramming software automatically detects the firmware version of your SDS tool when you reprogram a vehicle and updates it if it is the old version. If the firmware update is required, you will see the message below. Click "OK" and follow the instructions. When finished restart the program and continue programming the vehicle as usual.

NOTE: Anytime the software is downloaded and installed the database must be down-loaded and installed again.

To check the version of your Pass-Thru Reprogramming Software

Open the Suzuki Pass-Thru Reprogramming Tool as if to reprogram a vehicle. Then left click the "P" icon on the top left corner of the screen.

Select "About Pass-Thru Reprogramming..."

Version information is displayed. If you do not have version 1.8.3.0 (see below), you must download the Pass-Thru Reprogramming Software and install it then download the Database and install it.
