Removal Procedure

  1. Partially drain the cooling system. Refer to COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING AND FILLING (LY7 STATIC FILL) or COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING AND FILLING (LY7 GE 47716 FILL) .
  2. Disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (4) from the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor.

  3. Remove the ECT sensor.
