BCM Self-Diagnosis Function

Description

BCM monitors conditions of system components and its circuit with ignition mode of keyless push start system in "ON". When an abnormality in the system occurs, BCM is controlled as follows.

Self-Diagnosis Function

When an abnormality in the system occurs, the area where that abnormality is stored in the memory of EEPROM in BCM.

Warning Function

When BCM detects DTC B1120, "SERVICE BCM SYSTEM" is indicated in the information display of combination meter to warn the driver.

Fail-Safe Control

When DTC is detected, BCM changes to fail-safe mode as long as malfunction continues, but mode is canceled when BCM recovers normal condition. Warnings are not displayed for other DTC. Fail-Safe Table
