DTC Troubleshooting

CAUTION: Detection of both DTC C1024 and C1075 means internal malfunction of steering angle sensor. Replace steering angle sensor, see Steering Angle Sensor Removal and Installation .
DIAGNOSTICS PROCEDURE CHART

Step Action YES NO
Was "ESP® System Check" performed?  Go to Step 2. Go to ESP® SYSTEM CHECK .
DTC check 
  1. Perform DTC CHECK .

Is DTC U0073 and/or U0126 detected? 
Go to APPLICABLE DTC TROUBLESHOOTING . Go to Step 3.
Are both DTC C1024 and C1075 detected?  Replace steering angle sensor, see Steering Angle Sensor Removal and Installation . Go to Step 4.
Steering angle sensor on-vehicle inspection 
  1. Check steering angle sensor, see Steering Angle Sensor On-Vehicle Inspection .

Is it in good condition? 
Go to Step 5. Replace steering angle sensor, see Steering Angle Sensor On-Vehicle Inspection .
Steering angle sensor inspection 
  1. Check steering angle sensor, see Steering Angle Sensor On-Vehicle Inspection .

Is it in good condition? 
Substitute a known-good ESP® control module and recheck DTC, see ESP® Hydraulic Unit/Control Module Assembly Removal and Installation . Replace steering angle sensor, see Steering Angle Sensor On-Vehicle Inspection .
