Using SUZUKI Scan Tool

  1. Confirm that ignition mode of keyless push start system is "OFF".
  2. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC), located on underside of instrument panel, left of the steering wheel.
  3. Push engine switch to change ignition mode to "ON".
  4. Select "TPS ID registration" of "Utility" under "keyless start control module" mode of scan tool.
  5. Using TPM Activation Tool (09945-86510), activate each tire pressure sensor, according to the instructions displayed on activation tool, within 90 seconds.
NOTE: Ensure activation tool is positioned as shown in Fig 1, or sensor IDs may not register.
NOTE: If ID code registration of all 4 tire pressure sensors does not occur within 90 seconds, repeat procedure.
  6. As each tire pressure sensor is activated, the activation tool will flash its LED and beep. If the activation tool is working properly but does not flash and beep, replace faulty tire pressure sensor.
  7. To verify the IDs are being registered, observe the flash patterns of the dashboard low tire pressure warning light. See Tire Pressure Sensor Activation Specifications  table.

  8. When tire pressure sensor is activated, ID code of tire pressure sensor is registered automatically in the KSCM. When "ID CODE REGI STATUS" indicated on SUZUKI scan tool is "COMPLETE", registration has been completed. If "TIMEOUT" is indicated, perform registration procedure again.
NOTE: When the KSCM receives each ID code of the 4 tire pressure sensors, the KSCM turns the low tire pressure warning light on for 5 seconds. If warning light starts flashing on/off after the 5-second period, there is a problem in the TPM system. See appropriate manufacturer service information.
  9. Push engine switch to change ignition mode to "OFF", and then disconnect scan tool from DLC.
