DTC Troubleshooting

DIAGNOSTICS PROCEDURE CHART

Step Action YES NO
Was "ESP® System Check" performed?  Go to Step 2. Go to ESP® SYSTEM CHECK .
ESP® OFF switch check 
  1. Confirm that ignition mode of keyless push start system is in "OFF".
  2. Remove ESP® OFF switch.
  3. Check each terminal of ESP® OFF switch for proper connection.
  4. If connection are OK, check ESP® OFF switch, see ESP® OFF Switch Removal and Installation .

Is it in good condition? 
Go to Step 3. Replace ESP® OFF switch.
ESP® OFF switch circuit check 
  1. Disconnect "E09" connector.
  2. Check for proper connection to "E09-30" terminal.
  3. If connection is OK, check resistance between "E09-30" terminal and ground.

Is resistance infinite? 
Substitute a known-good ESP® control module and recheck DTC, see ESP® Hydraulic Unit/Control Module Assembly Removal and Installation . "GRY" wire circuit is shorted to ground.
