ATEQ TPMS Reset Procedure

NOTE: If spare tire has been used, or if a wheel or tire pressure sensor has been replaced, the tire pressure sensors must be registered.
NOTE: The warning light may come on due to normal causes such as natural air leaks and pressure changes caused by changes in temperature or atmospheric pressure.
NOTE: In high altitude areas, the warning light may not turn off even after adjusting tire pressures. In this case, adjust inflation pressure to a slightly higher pressure than specified.
NOTE: When tire pressure warning light illuminates, immediately check air pressure of all tires and adjust to the specified pressure. If warning light is still on, repair flat tire. If warning light is flashing, ensure TPMS sensors are registered. If warning light is still on or flashing after adjusting tire pressure and registering system sensors, there is a problem in the TPMS. See appropriate manufacturer service information.
NOTE: Under the following conditions, the system may not function properly:
  • When a spare tire is in use.
  • When the spare tire is included in a tire rotation.
  • When a wheel not containing a tire pressure sensor is installed.
  • When tire pressure sensor is damaged during tire replacement.
  • The tire pressure sensor battery is exhausted.
  • If tire pressure sensor has been replaced, and retraining procedure has not been performed.
  • If liquid sealants are used to repair a flat tire.
  • If electric devices or facilities using similar radio wave frequencies are nearby.
  • A lot of snow or ice covers the vehicle, particularly around the wheels or wheelhousings.
  • Snow tires or tire chains are used.
  • When non-genuine SUZUKI wheels or tires are used.
  • When tires other than specified size are used.
NOTE: Only up to 4 ID codes of the tire pressure sensor can be registered in TPMS controller. Therefore, register only ID codes of those tire pressure sensors that are installed to running wheels. If the ID code of the tire pressure sensor that is installed to any other tire than above 4 is registered to TPMS controller, TPMS controller detects an abnormality of the system when the vehicle is driven for longer than 10 minutes, and will cause low tire pressure warning light to flash.
  1. To enable Learn Mode, perform the following within 15 seconds after ignition switch is turned to ON position:
    • Press driver-side door switch within 5 seconds. Keep switch pressed for 2 seconds.
    • Release driver-side door switch, then press it again for 2 seconds or more.
    • Release driver-side door switch, then press it again for 2-5 seconds.
  2. Using TPM3 to activate each tire pressure sensor within 90 seconds.
NOTE: When tire pressure sensor is activated, the LED will flash and activation tool will beep. In case LED does not flash and beeping sound is not heard (ensure activation tool is operating normally), replace faulty tire pressure sensor.
  3. When tire pressure sensor is activated, ID code of tire pressure sensor is registered automatically in TPMS controller. If each of the ID codes of all tire pressure sensors is not registered in TPMS controller within 90 seconds, repeat procedure from beginning.
NOTE: It is possible to check the number of ID codes of tire pressure sensors received by TPMS controller by observing the flashing pattern of low tire pressure warning light.
NOTE: When TPMS controller receives each ID code of the 4 tire pressure sensors, TPMS controller turns on the warning light for 5 seconds. If warning light starts flashing on/off after the 5-second period, replace TPMS controller, as an internal fault has occurred.
