Module - Steering Column Control - Remove And Replace: Remove

  1. Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace) .
  2. Disconnect LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect) .
  3. Remove the steering yoke. See STEERING YOKE/WHEEL (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
  4. Remove the gap hider. See Gap Hider - Steering Column - Upper (Remove and Replace) .
  5. Remove the steering column lower shroud. See SHROUD - LOWER - STEERING COLUMN (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
  6. Disconnect the steering column control module electrical connector.
    NOTE: The retaining clip on the connector will break away. Discord the broken retaining clip and replace it with a new one (1028053-00-A). The replacement retaining clip will be orange.

  7. Remove the bolt that attaches the steering column control module to the steering column.
    CAUTION: Carefully slide the steering column control module away from the steering column without rotating or damaging the components.
