Center Console Assembly - Remove And Replace: Remove

- Open all the doors and open all the windows.
- Move the driver and front passenger seats fully forward.
- Remove the center console lower rear panel. See Panel - Lower Rear - Center Console (Remove And Replace) .
- Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the LH and RH rear console carrier to the body.
12 N.m (8.8 ft-lbs)
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm socket
- Move the driver and front passenger seats fully rearward.
- Release the clips (x4) that attach the phone dock to the center console.NOTE: Pull up at the bottom of the phone dock and swing out from under the center console.
- Release the clip, then disconnect the electrical connectors (x3), and then remove the phone dock from the instrument panel.CAUTION: Release the connector locks before pulling straight out of each socket to avoid damage.
- Remove the service panel from the instrument panel as an assembly. However, do not remove the cabin temperature sensor fan from the service panel assembly. See Service Panel - Instrument Panel (Remove and Replace) .
- Remove the LH and RH floor mats.
- Remove the LH and RH center console side panel carpets. See Carpet - Side Panel - Center Console - LH (Remove And Replace) .
- Remove the bolt that attaches the LH toeboard lower bracket to the center console. Repeat this step for the RH bracket.
10 N.m (7.4 ft-lbs)
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm socket
- Release the harness clips (x2), and then disconnect the center console electrical connectors (x4).
- Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the LH and RH console carrier center bracket.
12 N.m (8.8 ft-lbs)
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm socket
- Recline the backrest for the driver and front passenger seats.
- With an assistant, remove the console assembly from the vehicle.NOTE: Lift at the rear of the center console, then rotate the front from under the instrument panel, and then remove the center console assembly through the front passenger door.NOTE: Do not to scratch the seats, instrument panel, or inner door panel.
