Cold Start Injector Time Switch

  1. Unplug cold start injector time switch connector. For cold start injector time switch location, see appropriate illustration in the THEORY/OPERATION article.
  2. Using ohmmeter, check resistance between terminals "STA" & "STJ" at appropriate temperature. See COLD START INJECTOR TIME SWITCH SPECIFICATIONS  table. There should be continuity between terminal "STA" and ground. Replace switch if not within specification.
NOTE: "STA" terminal is fed current from ignition switch during cranking. "STJ" goes to cold start injector.
