Air Control Valve

  1. Remove Air Control Valve (ACV). The air control valve is located on bracket, near radiator. See Figure. Using ohmmeter, ensure continuity exists between electrical terminals on ACV and resistance is 30-34 ohms. Replace ACV if no continuity exists or resistance is not within specification.
  2. Ensure no continuity exists between each electrical terminal and body of ACV. Replace ACV if continuity exists between electrical terminal and body of ACV.
  3. Apply air pressure to port "A". Ensure no air flows from ports "B" and "C". Perform STEP 1. See Fig 1. Apply battery voltage and ground to electrical terminals on ACV.
  4. Apply air pressure to port "A". Ensure air flows from ports "B" and "C". Perform STEP 2. See Fig 1. Replace ACV if defective. Reinstall ACV.
