Door Courtesy Switch
NOTE:
Following procedure is for testing of door courtesy switch for the driver's and passenger's doors. For testing of door courtesy switch for the rear (luggage compartment) door, see REAR (LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT) DOOR COURTESY SWITCH .
- Disconnect electrical connector for appropriate door courtesy switch. See Figure. Connect DVOM between body of door courtesy switch and electrical terminal. See Fig 1.
- Check that continuity exists with pin on door courtesy switch released to the ON position. See Fig 1. Check that no continuity exists with pin on door courtesy switch depressed to the OFF position. Replace door courtesy switch if defective.
