Inspection Procedure

  1. Check voltage between terminal B of body ECU connector and body ground.

    PREPARATION: 

    1. Remove the instrument panel. See INSTRUMENT PANEL .
    2. Disconnect the B5 connector from the body ECU.

    CHECK: 

    Measure the voltage between terminal B of the body ECU connector and body ground.

    OK: = Voltage: 9-14 V 

    1. OK: Proceed to next circuit inspection shown in PROBLEM SYMPTOMS .
    2. NG: Go to next step.

  2. Check DOOR fuse. 

    PREPARATION: 

    Remove the DOOR fuse from the R/B No. 3.

    CHECK: 

    Check the continuity of the DOOR fuse.

    OK = Continuity 

    1. OK: Go to next step.
    2. NG: Check for short in all harness and components connected to DOOR fuse.

  3. Check harness and connector between body ECU and body ground. 
    1. OK: Check and repair harness or connector between body ECU and battery.
    2. NG: Repair or replace harness or connector.
